Teacher Sally is a singer-songwriter born in Yangon and raised in Singapore. She is passionate about experimenting with different sounds and genres of music. Sally takes her music inspirations from various indie, pop and R&B influences. She is also keen on teaching and dedicating her life to help students learn as well as to share her experience and knowledge of music.

 

Teacher Sally took her first small steps by posting covers of her singing with the guitar on YouTube and SoundCloud. Soon after, she realised that music was going to play a huge part in her life as her secondary school teachers noticed her talent in singing. In 2013 and 2014, Sally took part in school competitions GSS Idol and Battle of the Bands, winning first prize for both. In 2014, Sally participated in Singapore Youth Festival Youth Got Talent at Gardens By The Bay.

 

Since young, Teacher Sally had been passionate in performing and composing her own original pop pieces and in 2017 she decided to pursue music which would eventually help broaden her knowledge in music. Teacher Sally holds with a Bachelors degree in Music (Popular) majoring in vocals at LASALLE College of the Arts, and graduated with a Masters degree in Music Therapy from the U.K.
