Principal: Ms Tan

Ms Tan's musical journey started when she joined Chinese Orchestra CCA in secondary school and junior college (JC) as a Chinese Flute/Dizi member and Sectional Leader. After JC, at the age of 19, she decided to pick up the piano, flute and vocals for leisure, and managed to achieve grade 8 certificates in these instruments within a span of a few years. This allowed her to start her music teaching career in her early twenties.

She was awarded the Edusave Scholarship at Secondary 4, but chose to enter a JC before sitting for her 'O' Levels through Direct School Admission using her musical talents. It was then when she realized she wanted her future career to be strongly related to music. Thus, she chose to enrol in LASALLE College of the Arts after JC, where she was awarded the LASALLE Scholarship, and graduated with First Class Honours. Her thesis research was on how to improve the quality of classical music education in Singapore. In King's College London, she obtained the King's Interdisciplinary (Thinking Creativity) Award, and her Masters thesis was strongly related to classical music performances.

At the same time, she enjoys songwriting and has released a few singles which were selected to be listed on multiple playlists on Spotify and Apple Music.

She has 10 years of experience teaching students for leisure or preparing students for ABRSM & LCM music examinations. She always believes that it is never too late to learn music, and is constantly upgrading herself even till today. With her teaching experiences, topped up with her strong entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to set up Silversnow Music School to spread her love of music and joy to all students enrolled in Silversnow.
